My ring Readings seem inaccurate? Can it be trusted?
Users occasionally feel their Circul Ring readings—such as steps, blood oxygen, blood pressure, or sleep data—may not be perfectly accurate. This is a common concern shared by users of many smart rings and smartwatches. Here are some important points to understand:Possible Reasons for InaccuracyWearing Position and Fit: The ring must be worn snugly but comfortably on the correct finger. Too loose or too tight, or wearing it on a different finger than recommended, can affect sensor contact and data accuracy.Movement and Activity During Measurement: For accurate blood pressure and oxygen readings, it is important to stay still and relaxed during measurement. Movement, talking, or muscle tension can cause fluctuations.Individual Differences: Skin tone, finger shape, and individual physiology may affect sensor readings. This is a known challenge across all wearable devices.Sleep Monitoring Limitations: Sleep tracking estimates stages based on movement and heart signals, which may not perfectly match clinical sleep studies. Battery usage can also impact duration and data completeness.Environmental Factors: Cold fingers, poor circulation, or ambient lighting can sometimes interfere with optical sensors used for heart rate and oxygen measurements. What You Can Do1. Check Wearing Method:Review the user guide or app instructions to ensure correct placement and fit.2. Follow Measurement Guidelines: Stay still and relaxed during readings, especially for blood pressure and oxygen.3. Keep Firmware and App Updated: Updates often improve sensor algorithms and data processing.4. Consult FAQs and Support: Visit our FAQ pages or contact support@circulsense.com for personalized help.Important NoteThese variations are common to most wearable health devices and do not indicate product defects. The Circul Ring uses advanced AI and medical-grade sensors to provide more accurate data possible within the limits of non-invasive wearable technology. We encourage users to use the Circul Ring as a helpful tool for ongoing health awareness rather than a replacement for clinical measurements. If you have health concerns, please consult a healthcare professional.
